Anne Celeste Heche was an American actress who was known for her performances in various genres in film television and theatre. It is believed that Anne turned down the role as Laurie Strode in John Carpenter's horror film Halloween, in 1978. The role was later recast for Jaime Lee Curtis. Carpenter says that the actress declined his invitation to be Laurie Strode. Anne states that she doesn't recall ever being contacted or given the role in any way by John Carpenter. Maybe one of her agents turned down the part on her behalf, without ever informing the actress. Glen Larson initially selected her to play the character of Battlestar Galactica in 1978. He wrote a rough script. The role was initially rejected since the character wasn't strong. Glen created a brand new character to play for her with Sheba being a more formidable character. The Living Legend was accepted following her reading of the original 25 pages of the script. The program ran for one episode. She starred with Desi Arnaz Jr. (son of Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball) Melanie Griffith and Robert Carradine in the movie Joyride (1977) and co-starred with Michael Moriarty in the horror movie The Dark Tower (1987).
